Facilitate communication with clients and ensure project teams are on schedule


Description:

Project Managers are a key role within York Community Consulting and sits within the Client Services team. You will be responsible for maintaining regular communications between the project team and their external contacts, which includes the client and external mentors. During the project cycle, you will ensure that the client is happy with the project progress and support the team in achieving that goal.

You will also ensure regular communications between the Project Team and external mentors and make sure they are making the most of their professional experience. This may involve keeping the external mentors up to date with the team's progress and arranging communications between them.

Being a Project Manager is an incredibly rewarding role with a lot of face-to-face exposure to different stakeholders. The projects side of your work will see you engaging clients, setting up projects, and training consultants, amongst many other things. This role will give you valuable experience in professional communications with industry professionals.

Ultimately, because of the variety of responsibilities, you will grow in so many areas: communication, organisation, creative problem solving, and leadership - to name a few. The key characteristics that we look for in candidates are initiative and critical thinking.

Responsibilities:

  • Overall coordination and leadership of your project team, ensuring that they meet deliverables to the highest standard in accordance with the requirements of the client
  • Working collaboratively with the Managing Partners and the other Project Managers to identify and share best practice
  • Maintain All email contact with the client
  • Weekly updates on the progress of the project
  • Send over key deliverables
  • Request extra information or resources
  • Organise client meetings, working out any logistics - room bookings, laptops for video meetings, etc
  • Collect short term and long term feedback from the client
  • All email contact with active external mentors
  • Weekly updates on the progress of the project
  • Organise key meetings and communications
  • Send over key deliverables
  • Bringing the client on board and putting together a Terms of Reference (project brief) that both the Director of Client Services and the client are satisfied with
  • Supporting the client pipeline for future projects by actively sourcing new clients in a variety of different ways be that via cold calling, Linkedin, referrals through the inbox
