External Relations Officer
A part of the team that plans and runs YCC events

At York Community Consulting, we pride ourselves on the professional reputation we have built over the past few years. As a member of the External Relations team, you will build bridges between our organisations and try to forge relationships with professionals to make us successful.
Being an External Relations Officer would require you to plan and host local and networking events, securing partnerships and sponsorships as well as bring in industry professionals as Project Mentors, allowing project members to gain real insights and have expert advice on how to assist clients. In everything that you do, you will be contributing to the overall strategic vision of YCC.
Whilst no prior experience is necessary, this role requires confident and self-driven candidates who are willing to put themselves forward as representatives of YCC. It is a fantastic opportunity to develop both a knowledge of consulting and related fields as well as to create a vast and diverse network of professionals. Candidates should show a display of creativity in coming up with new ways of promoting consulting on campus via events, workshops, etc.
Responsibilities:
- Find new and willing firms and companies who want to work with YCC closely
- Host collaborative events - i.e. workshops, webinars, etc
- Host student events on campus to promote YCC
- Work with local firms to promote Consulting and related industries
- Find professionals to become Project Mentors
