Description
At YCC, people are at the heart of everything we do. As an HR Officer, you’ll support the full member lifecycle, contributing to recruitment, delivering and supporting elements of the weekly training sessions, and handling queries, conflicts, sensitive and confidential matters with discretion and empathy. You’ll take on tasks delegated by the Director of HR, as well as, assisting other departments where needed. No two days are the same, so the ability to work under pressure, strong interpersonal skills, adaptability, and genuine passion for people are essential. No prior HR experience is required, just enthusiasm and a willingness to get stuck in.
Responsibilities
- Providing support to the Director of HR with any HR related queries across the organisation, providing advice on policies and procedures
- Attend weekly training sessions, even if not presenting
- Working alongside the department head to plan, create, and deliver weekly training sessions, presenting a minimum of one training session per semester
- Support the director across the entire recruitment cycle, ensuring availability for interview periods
- Proactively check in on project teams during training, acting as first line of support and raising any potential issues or concerns to the director to ensure effective management of any potential employee relation cases
- Provide effective and timely wellbeing support, escalating to the director when appropriate to provide relevant signposting
- Completion of any work delegated by the head of department
