Director of Marketing and Engagements

This role is the lynchpin in generating applications for York Community Consulting. Additionally, you will work to market our services to prospective clients. Candidates can expect to use a variety of channels (social media, email, print, and in-person) to engage with the students. The aim is to boost our brand presence and reputation. We are generating applications for our projects and committee. Plus, generating interest from potential clients. The role requires a proactive communicator with a flair for creativity.

This role will interest someone looking to gain real experience in marketing and events within an organisation. The role is one of the most critical functions in the organisation, so your work will greatly affect the overall success of York Community Consulting.

This is an opportunity to improve your digital content editing skills and lead and manage projects. It will be an excellent position for a “people person” who enjoys working with and supporting others in a professional capacity. It will suit someone keen to experiment with a variety of marketing tools and messages to find the best material for our audience.

Applying for this role has a few prerequisites. It would keep you very involved in the day-to-day operations of York Community Consulting while you gain marketing strategy knowledge. You need to be organised, able to do short sessions of work regularly, and have a flair for creativity. It would also be nice for you to have experience in running events so you can hit the ground running.

Responsibilities:

• Managing all of YCC's social media accounts. This includes, LinkedIn and Instagram
• Maintaining engagement with past and potential employees and clients. Via email newsletter, social media, events and print
• Analysing data from our website, social media platforms and email marketing.
• Optimising our marketing strategy
• Creating and testing innovative marketing approaches
• Ensuring YCC continues to boost its presence and reputation
• Representing YCC at local events, YUSU and University Careers Fairs, Award events (alongside the Managing Partners and Heads of Departments)
• Coordinating with various committee members for external events
• Organise department meetings
