Marketing Officer
A part of the team responsible for managing our brand image and marketing

This role is the lynchpin in generating applications to YCC. Candidates can expect to use a variety of channels (social media, email, and in-person) to engage with the student population, ultimately aiming to generate applications for our projects and committee. The role requires someone who is proactive and a confident communicator.
This role will interest someone looking to gain real experience in marketing within an organisation that considers this function incredibly important. Without applicants, YCC could not operate, so this is one of the most critical functions in the organisation. Your work will directly determine YCC's success.
This will be an excellent position for a “people person” who enjoys working with and supporting others in a professional capacity. In addition to that, this role is an opportunity to improve digital design skills, as well as leading and managing projects. It will suit someone keen to experiment with a variety of marketing tools and messages to find the best material for our audience.
Applying for this role does not have many prerequisites. It would keep you very involved in the day to day operations of YCC, whilst gaining marketing strategy knowledge. You need to be organised and be able to do short sessions of work regularly, with a flair for creativity.
Responsibilities:
- The role of marketing officer entails managing all of YCC's social media. This includes LinkedIn, Instagram
- Maintaining contact with past and potential candidates
- Improving approaches across the entire recruitment cycle
- Ensuring YCC continues to increase its presence and/or prestige via
- Coordinating with various committee members for external events I.e the conference and how best to market
- Attend department meetings
- Work with the tech team and data analysts to get insights into the current marketing stratagy
